What is the best way to hang a model plane from the ceiling?
Years ago, many modellers would hang their planes from the ceiling, it was almost an obligatory custom between father and son, nowadays though, models are generally heavier and more focused on details meaning a display cabinet or shelf tends to be a favoured home for prised models.
But if you decide that the ceiling is the best place to showcase your new model, fishing line is traditionally the preferred method of hanging a plane, it is strong and thin so will support your model without imposing on its appearance.
Although many of us will remember attaching our fishing line to the ceiling using little more than a drawing pin, it is recommended that you take a little time to do the job properly using a hook and rawlplug to avoid any surprise crash landings.
