What is the difference between an unboxing video and a review?
Unboxing videos and video product reviews are very different processes driven by a differing set of requirements.
An unboxing video is purely an objective process that aims to present the complete contents of a particular kit or item in a simple and methodical manner. Due to the objective nature of the process, a presenter will allow the viewer to draw their own conclusions on all aspects of the content. As many purchases are conducted over the internet these days, the 'unboxing video' allows the viewer to conduct a more in-depth analysis of an item before purchasing, this would otherwise not be possible due to circumstances such as distance or time constraints..
By contrast, a review is a purely subjective process where the reviewer will offer their own personal perspective on the subject matter. Though not all viewers will agree with this purely subjective outlook, others may wish to be guided by the experience, knowledge, and advice of the reviewer.
