How long does it take for acrylic model paint to fully dry?
One of the many advantages of acrylic paint is that it dries really fast and is often touch-dry within minutes of application.
Although this is very handy for keeping your fingers, tools and workstation paint-free, it is vital that, although it may seem dry, you give it longer before applying further coats or handling the model too much.
The general rule of thumb is that 24 hours is enough time for acrylic paint to be completely dried and thus able to tolerate whatever is required next.
