A model clamp is a lightweight clamp (or series of smaller clamps) designed to hold the parts of a model together or in place while you work on it.
The difference between a model clamp and a regular clamp is often apparent in the size of the clamp and the texture of the grips, both of which are likely to be more sensitive to delicate models than on a clamp built to hold raw materials while undertaking a DIY project.
Model clamps are produced in many guises and can resemble anything from a set of overengineered clothes pegs to a base-mounted structure with adjustable arms and clamps, and are a valuable aid for many modellers who build and paint their own models or kits.
