Why is my DCC locomotive running in the wrong direction?
It's not very often that it happens, but occasionally you may get a DCC locomotive that runs in the opposite direction to your other locomotives, even though you turned the controller the same way.
If this rare but mind-boggling occurrence is happening to you, the most likely explanation is that the decoder has been inserted the wrong way round. Try turning it over and re-inserting it to see if it remedies the problem. But don't force the decoder into the socket, it will go in easily if it's meant to be.
If, however, your model suddenly starts running in the wrong direction after having no interaction with the decoder, it could be a programming error. To remedy this problem, refer to your manufacturer's instructions and reset your model to factory settings.
