A toggle switch is a compact switch that uses a lever to be activated. It is easy to install and easy to wire, operation of the switch is simple too and achieved by simply flicking the switch from one side to the other. There are many different types of toggle switch available all performing different functions, you can get SPST, SPDT, DPDT and momentary passing contact switches, you can also get them as on/off or on/on switches making them a truly versatile switch. But if you are not already acquainted with the world of switches, all this can sound very confusing.
