Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 Black - 40ml

The main purpose of this product is that it will act as a Surfacer for a model.  Effectively, this means it acts as a primer but will also act as a filler for minor scratches and imperfections.  More noticeable seams and imperfections can be filled with extra coats.  The product can be applied with a brush but the best results will be achieved by using an airbrush.  It dries very quickly to leave a smooth finish.  It is especially helpful when applying metallic paint to a model as it will remove the need for a gloss-black coat of paint that would usually be required.  This inevitably helps to reduce the overall thickness of the paint layers whilst providing the ideal surface for a metallic paint to bond onto.  Care should be taken when using this product as it is lacquer-based and so should only be used in a working space with good ventilation and ideally with the modeller wearing a protective facemask.  The 1500 rating indicates that the product has especially fine granules for extra fine detailing.  Other options for colour and granularity are available within the Mr.Surfacer range.
