BR Ale Pallet Wagon

A small fleet of these wagons were rebuilt from BR tubes in the mid 1960s to carry palletised beer barrels and kegs between breweries and distribution depots. Each wagon could carry 14 tons gross palletised beer. The traffic declined in the 1970s but some of these vehicles lasted on as barrier wagons for hazardous loads.

This finely moulded plastic wagon kit comes complete with pin point axle wheels and bearings. Glue and paint will be required, along with appropriate transfers. Additional parts to enable the vehicle to be modelled incorporating modifications made to the prototypes during their working life are included where appropriate.

Comes with metal wheels. Coupling required.
