These types of cranes are a common sight at ports and on docksides as well as at intermodal transfer yards where containers are transferred between rail, road and sea transport.

The model comes as a plastic kit that requires assembly and painting. The crane is a static model (non-operational) and offers an accurate portrayal of an intermodal container crane. Two short sections of rail are included on which the crane can be placed, but these are for visual effect only and the crane is not designed to run freely along them.
