Hornby R168 Sir Dinadane, King Arthur Class 4-6-0 Plus three coaches. . Used. OO Gauge

Here we have a much sought after engine, only issued for a very limited period  in the late 70';s and not re-released.

 

The engine is play-worn and had some repair, especially to the footplate, but it is done well.  The name plate and number have been removed so we assume the previuous owner was in the process of re-naming it.  The Tender is correct for this engine.

 

Now for the nice bit.  It has had a full service and is one of the best runners we have found from this era.  It easily pulls the three southern coaches it is paired with.  The wheels are very clean and all buffers and couplings are present.

 

The coaches are early Hornby Southern coaches with "authentically2 yellowed roofs (they were once  white).   All couplings are present on the coaches.

 

All in all this is a lovely little set featureing a rare engine that runs really well
