Hornby R2064 Dean Goods 0-6-0 2468 in GWR Green. Ringfield motor
The Great Western Railway (GWR) 2301 Class or Dean Goods Class is a class of British 0-6-0 steam locomotives. A total of 260 'Dean Goods' locomotives were built by the GWR at Swindon Works between 1883 and 1899. The class broke with GWR tradition by having inside frames only and an alternative boiler design. Many members of the class were sent to France by the ROD during WW1 and later during WW2, the War Department also requisitioned some locomotives. Under BR use, they were mostly used on Welsh branch lines due to their light axle loads. A single locomotive was preserved and the rest were scrapped.
This engine is in excellent condition with no marks or blemishes and totally complete. It has had a light service and been fully tested and runs very well indeed.
It comes in its original box plus the service sheet.
