The Bachmann Thames Clyde Starter set, comprising ofthe Midland Compound 1000, 2 x corridor composite & 3rd brake coach in LMS livery and oval of track, controller and power supply. Everything you need to get started.
The London, Midland and Scottish Railway Compound 4-4-0 was a class of steam locomotive designed for passenger work. One hundred and ninety five engines were built by the LMS, adding to the 45 Midland Railway 1000 Class, to which they were almost identical. The most obvious difference is that the driving wheel diameter was reduced in size from the Midland Railway version. The class were withdrawn between 1952 and 1961. None have survived into preservation, though the first of the Midland 1000 Class engines has.
This set is in absolute mint condition. The engine looks and runs as good as new, all the carriages are "as new". The controller has been tested and is in full working order. all the track to complete an oval plus a point is present and new. We have included a length of Hornby power track for convienience.
It comes in its original box with all the paperwork.
