Shuttle System - for automated train operation

Gaugemaster Shuttle System for all gauges from Z to OO.

The shuttle system by Gaugemaster works with any controller and will automatically operate your train back and forth along a single track between two isolated sections. This type of operation is most commonly seen on an automated end-to-end layout. Installation is simple utilising screw terminals, so soldering is not required, and clear instructions are included to help you get set up.

How does it work? Two isolated sections (one at either end of the line) take care of stopping the train. Meanwhile, the shuttle system unit, combined with two provided diodes, takes care of reversing the polarity of the track resulting in the train reversing. Once the train reaches the isolated section at the opposite end of the line, the whole process starts again, indefinitely!

How long can my track be? The shuttle system can be adjusted to reverse polarity at any timed interval between 20 and 90 seconds giving plenty of scope regarding distance. The speed of your train is set by your own controller, so a mixture of train speed and your chosen time settings allows you to create a bespoke operation.

What's needed to get started? As well as this shuttle system unit, you will need a suitable length of track, a train and a controller. The shuttle system works with any controller but it also requires a 16v AC power supply to operate, so a controller with a 16v AC auxiliary port would be an advantage.
