Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V.b - 1/48 Scale

Tamiya Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V.b in 1:48 Scale. Entering service in 1941 the Mark.V Spitfire introduced a series of upgrades from earlier versions of the type. Overall, just under 4,000 Spitfire Mk.V.b were completed. In 1941 the Focke Wulf FW190 entered service with the Luftwaffe and outclassed existing Spitfire variants in service. As an interim measure, some Mk.V.b airframes had their wingtips clipped which increased the aircraft's roll rate and its speed at low level.
