Introduced in 1942 for the transport of Sherman tanks, the 50T bogie Warwell wagon continued to see service after the end of the Second World War.
The big 4 train companies acquired or were loaned some of these and began using them in general traffic.
Our model also displays the revised loading and securing points where were added onto the wooden deck shortly after manufacture - a second variant of the tooling offers this option.
