Facchinos Morris J Ice Cream Van

The Morris J Van lent itself to a variety of uses as a small utility van and provided the perfect vehicle for ice cream vendors. The company of Whitby Morrison recognise the important part that ice cream vans have played in our great British heritage and since 1998 have been engaged in preserving as many as possible, all of which they hope in the long term to put into a fantastic collection comprising the world's first Ice Cream Van museum Our model, registered YHT 511, is based on one of their highly successful preservation projects. Advertising Ice Cream for Everyone, Fresh Daily, the model is decorated in an equally fresh green and cream with very appealing and colourful cartoonlike figures of a little boy and girl clutching enormous ice cream cones across the back of the van and above the cab windows. Additional detail includes a black chassis, cream and silver wheels, green masked radiator grille with the Morris badge above.
