Oxfordās 1:87 scale Studebaker dates from 1950, the final version of a car that had had a bumpy ride until that point, interrupted by the War but finally emerging as the Studebaker Champion Starlight CoupeĢ. This version of the Champion comprised a three-window coupeĢ powered by the 1696cu in (2.8 litre) 85bhp side valve six-cylinder engine with a column shift manual transmission.
For only its second Oxford release, it appears in a dark sea green with a black interior and green beige seating. The external trim is mainly silver with black and silver grille intakes with a chrome surround. The elaborate bullet nose is also silver and black while the colourful Studebaker badge and Champion name feature on the edge of the bonnet. Our car is registered in Bath, Kentucky in 1950 as 21-628.
