The authentic two-tone colour scheme on this Desoto Suburban sounds very jazzy but very appropriate for its immediate post-war period when the age of jazz was in full swing. The chestnut brown of the exterior is also repeated inside the four door saloon, which could seat up to eight people. From the look of the chrome roof rack loaded up with two suitcases, it is obviously going places. Additional chrome features extensively along the body of the long wheelbase car as well as on the wide radiator grille while the tyres sport that whitewall finish again. Our car is based in Maine, registered M 3304 in 1946.
