Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Sentinel

This release on the 1:76 scale Sentinel Flatbed will please our railway enthusiasts, appearing in the dark brown and black guise of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway. Albeit the model is not totally authentic as our model is a later version of the real thing.

The detail sees the dark brown body with matt black cab roof. The mudguards, chassis and chimney are also black with a gold ring detail added to the top of the chimney. The wheels echo the dark brown body colour and the lettering of the LYR is finished in gold. External trim in silver includes the window surrounds and our model features window glass as well. The flatbed interior is dark brown, all ready to house any 1:76 scale loads you might like to place there, bringing an authentic feel to a model that would look good in any railway yard of the period. Our Sentinel is registered AW 4474.

The Sentinel Waggon Works was originally a Scottish company which acquired other steam companies along the way, ultimately concentrating on the manufacture of steam powered lorries, steam wagons, railway locomotives , later diversifying into the early modern era of diesels.
