More info

Standard colours of Polish Su-22M4 / UM3K fleet from late 1990s till 2015

In 1990s Polish AF's Su-22M4 / UM3K fleet started to undergo overhauls in WZL-2 in Bydgoszcz. In 1997 the new camouflage scheme (so-called "NATO scheme") was tested on Su-22M4 "3214" and approved for use on all overhauled Su-22s. Since that time all operational Su-22M4s and UM3Ks had been repainted using this pattern.

In 2015 a decision was made to change the already classical "NATO scheme" for a two-tone grey camouflage (similar to the one used on Polish F-16s). The change being applied during the final round of periodic overhauls in WZL-2 to all aircraft remaining in service.

The Orange Line paints are specially formulated lacquer based paints optimised for airbrushing. The product was developed to satisfy needs of all modellers – it is perfect for professional use (application of many semi-transparent layers, gradual building of colours / colour shading, application of very fine lines, etc.), but also very forgiving to beginners. It has significantly limited odour compared to other similar products, hence is more suitable for home use. All colours are highly pigmented and permanent.
