Standard camouflage colours of USAAF planes from 1941 till 1945

Since mid-1941 USAAF adopted onto majority of its aircraft a standard camouflage scheme of Olive Drab No. 41 (with blotches of Medium Green No. 42 randomly applied to blur the edges of the plane) over Neutral Grey No. 43.

By late 1943, as a consequence of increasing air superiority on ETO, use of camouflage by USAAF was officially abandoned, however due to various reasons it was still being applied by some of the plane manufacturers till the end of war. In such case new colours were predominantly used - ANA 613 Olive Drab (lighter shade) over ANA 603 Sea Grey (more blueish tint).
