British Rail Class 35 'Hymek' D7005 Two-Tone Green

The British Rail Class 35, or 'Hymek' as it is know to the railway enthusiast, was built between 1961 and 1964 by Beyer Peacock (Hymek) Ltd. These locomotives were built for use on the western region of British Railways who had opted for using lightweight diesel hydraulics as part of the 'Moderization Plan' to handle freight and secondary passenger work. The class was retired between 1971 and 1975 with only a few remaining in preservation.
