The Fiat 3000 is an Italian light tank from the late period of World War I and the interwar period. The vehicle was powered by a single carburettor engine with power ranging from 50 to 63 hp. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created around 1920, and serial production lasted from 1921 to 1930, during which 152 vehicles of this type were built. It was the first mass-produced Italian tank in history.

The Fiat 3000 was developed to provide the Italian army with the vehicles it needed to create its own armoured troops. Initially planned to start production as early as 1918, but due to technical and organisational problems, production did not begin until two years later, reducing the order from 1,400 to around 150-200 vehicles. The design of the Fiat 3000 was based to a great extent on the French Renault FT-17, which can be seen at first glance. However, the Italian tank underwent several modernisations. First of all, the front part of the hull was changed, a completely different engine was used, and it was placed differently in the hull, which made the tank shorter and lowered its weight. The shape of the engine compartment was also changed. Tanks of this type took part in battles in Libya in 1926 and, to a small extent, during the Italo-Ethiopian War of 1935-1936.
