Standard colours of French vehicles from 1918 till 1940

After WW1 majority of French Army vehicles wore overall Olive Green coat. The return to colourful camouflage was induced by instruction of March 1937 listing 16 colours, three ("sky", "ground" and "shadow" colour) to be used on each vehicle (quite loosely followed by AFV producers).

In late 1938 a new instruction was issued introducing a scheme of Grey-Green and Earth Shadow (exact shades differed as the paints were mixed in combat units and due to low pigments quality).

The Orange Line paints are specially formulated lacquer based paints optimised for airbrushing. The product was developed to satisfy needs of all modellers – it is perfect for professional use (application of many semi-transparent layers, gradual building of colours / colour shading, application of very fine lines, etc.), but also very forgiving to beginners. It has significantly limited odour compared to other similar products, hence is more suitable for home use. All colours are highly pigmented and permanent.
