Flux is used to aid the flow and adhision of solder and very useful when de-soldering and re-soldering.

A good general flux with the added advantage of its non-acidic composition.

For use on nickle silver and white metal.

There’s a saying…”the right tool for the right job” and this is very true in the modelling world.

This may explain why there are a vast number of specialist tools available, ensuring that you can find the one that you are looking for to make the job easier, or to achieve a better end result.

When constructing kits using nickel silver or white mteal components, the best method of joining them together is by soldering.

But, use too much heat and you risk distorting the parts you are working on.

One way of ensuring that the solder flows easily into the join at lower temperatures is to use this Non-acid Safety Flux from Gaugemaster.

Use a brush to ‘paint’ the flux onto the surfaces to be joined and the flux will flow more easily.
